The LRBSA is replacing sewage pumps at two pumping stations in Moosic Borough to enhance performance and reliability.

Pumping stations are used at various points in the system to transport wastewater where gravity flow is not possible due to differences in elevation. In Moosic, two such stations each contain two sewage pumps. Over time, the harsh conditions of wastewater pumping can cause wear and tear on the pumps and electric motors, reducing their efficiency and requiring more frequent maintenance. To improve efficiency, reduce maintenance, and ensure optimal performance, the pumps at both Moosic pumping stations will be replaced with new, more reliable equipment.
